10 Days.. Whoo Hoo..

Made it 10 days and not struggling too much - just keep really busy and change everything you normally do around smoking.
I have been a superman at work, not taking breaks for a smoke and staying focused - new non-smoking route to and from work and watching heaps of movies at home, sleeping early, and doing it all over again..
Not really making time for craving a smoke, but also exhausted most the time.. had a real bad headache on Sunday, but not sure what is smoking related and what is just normal..
Saving so much cash, as I am not in the shops everyday too, or sanding around bored in the city and spending cash, so that helps.. still have $30 in my wallet from last Monday.. cool!
Onward and upward.. Almost 2 weeks..

Good onya, ive done 3 days today also hasn't been tooooo bad:) yet...Not game to tackle a beer as yet but by the weekend I think will have to try 1 or 3.
I think you've hit the nail on the head by changing your routine. Definitely makes it easier...keep up the good work

Well done Dave you have made it to double digits. You have every reason to feel Woo Hooo as you say nearly at two weeks.just gotta keep on biting into the journey in small chunks and before you know it 20 , 30, 40.............days. Stay determined x

Excellant acheivement. My puppy is playing with me. I have been told to change my morning routine. From coffee and three cigarettes at eleven o'clock to waking up at the same time every day and walking to get the newspaper. I did go for a walk around in a park today. I have been off balance all day from a drug reduction. I have done some dishes despite being dizzy. I felt too challenged to quit. I took a four hour break from smoking as an effort to cut down.

Congratulations Dave - it is a revelation what you can achieve without the time spent smoking. I am sure this does not apply to you but I had about five, unopened boxes of clothes, make-up, shoes, books etc which have sat in a cupboard for two or three years since I moved. I have been sorting through them each night. It's not glamorous but it does give me a sense of achievement ... and a sense that I never need to buy anything again despite all the money I am saving. I'm with you - I feel like I am hardly spending a cent even though I allow myself the odd reward.
Go the two weeks and don't worry if there is the odd day when it feels like Day 1 all over again - it passes.

Back to the doc today for next 2 months script of Champix - she said that I need to be aware that Champix makes it "easy" not to smoke, so ensure that in the next 2 months I change habits and do the normal things, like having mates around, smokers and non, and get to the pub, go out and "Relearn" behavior of non smokers, as when the course is over, you must have changed from smoking habits to non-smoking habits - interesting..
Day 11 and doing fine.. long weekend coming up and myself and my wife are taking a weekend away down South - looking forward to the break, after 2 hard weeks..

Hey,I'm 10 days in😊 Heading away too tho weekend, hubby is doing Iron man,it'll be so nice not hiding behind a tree smoking.lol Always feel so embarrassed around non smokers especially super fit ones!!
