LOVING LIFE

254 DAYS NOW. I initially put   on weight but i have been exercising and had a change of diet. I have now stripped off 15 kilo,s , going to pilates to strengthen the muscles  affected by the surgery and doing 45 minutes on the treadmill every day. I have a whole new outlook on life and I wish I had done this earlier. My breathing is nearly back to normal. After smoking for 36 years I can't believe how quick my health is returning. 1 negative however, my wife of 26 years has decided she doesn't love me anymore but I am strong and healthy now and I can move on.  i have a whole new wardrobe and enjoy people noticing the new me.Give up smoking and enjoy life NOW.

Wow - that's fantastic! Stopping smoking AND losing weight! Sorry to hear about the bad stuff but there is a market for fit guys who don't smoke!

wow that is awesome NON cough cough :) I'm also sorry about the negative that's befallen you but really proud you got thru it without smoking.

I actually just made a thread about having a bad day and needing a smoke but strangely, i feel calm after reading your story.
