Well, today is my 3rd day being a non smoker!! I have put up the "progress" of the quit journey & ticking it off as I go ie: After 20 minutes my blood pressure & heart rate have already gone down (TICK) After 24 hours carbon monoxide is completely out of my body (TICK) etc etc. I find that it is helping me alot!

Really wanting a smoke this morning though but I am finding the gum really helpful.

I am also staying with my Mum & Dad so having someone around to talk to is great. I also get to cook (which I LOVE doing) for more than just myself & my daughter so that keeps me occupied!

Ok, going for another piece of gum now & to put some makeup on & feel a little bit more alive!

Talk soon,  Jodie

PS. Am SO loving not having the smell of cigarette on my fingers AND Im saving so much already......even on body spray to cover up that disgusting smell!!!! :) GO ME

Don't give in Jodie. Call the quit line - that's what I did on day 10 and it really helped me. It will be easier tomorrow!Other strategies - go to bed! Deep breaths - play a computer game on your mobile phone. Keep occupied with other stuff. You're doing really well to get to day 3.

Hi Jodie, Congrats for hitting day 3!!!! That's some awesome willpower there :) I agree with Mickey - Try and find an outlet that distracts/entertains you.........Quitline is a service I will be using if I need to ease a craving asap. Otherwise I will be here for extra support.

What I found helpful was writing down all my health issues down and then reading them out loud. I remember this everytime I get a craving and it really helps me through it.

Distraction is a great tool. Go for it - you can do it!

ok, phew! I made it! day 4! Feeling better today! I have a headache, Ive had one since Wednesday, is anyone else finding this?? I dont normally get headaches just randomly like this!

schedule 10 Feb 2012

Regardless of how fit you are do something anything very physical it helps to get your endorphins moving. The endorphin rush cancels out the craving.

Who's a NON SMOKER??? Hell yeah, WE ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

schedule 11 Feb 2012

Hey JodieRW, Well done, This is one crazy ride, does your head in at times- big time, BUT the key is stay strong, do not give in and have just one,or one little puff, cos thats all it takes to become a smoker, so chew your fingers nails and fingers even if u have time, just dont have a smoke. Just keep focused, those evil little fags are try anything to get you to give into them, but honestly they arent worth it, they are evil, they are toxic and you dont need them at all anymore, gone!!!!. So stay strong and good luck xoxox
