Ive been smoking for about 27 yrs full time. But I got caught smoking in grade 3 on school property. Ive been wanting to quit for a long. My boyfriend even bought me an vap ecig. He's non smoker. Ive tried the patch but its too itchy. Today Im on day 4 of taking Champix after doing some research. I want to feel able to breathe as Ive had asthma most of my life and just about died of carbon monxcide poisoning in Dec 2007. I also want to save to get myself a newer laptop, to take my learners test next year. I want be able to be active with my boyfriend without being out of breath.

Well done for finding your way to this site...it is very much inspiring to read everbodys journey and the encouragement you get is awesome...a lot of Will power is involved in giving up so good luck...just remember it's hour by hour day by day and never give in to that demon voice on your head no matter what and you will also succeed.....

I am glad i found this friendly site and happy surprise it australian based. I 50 smoking last 30 yr. Smoked so much all august due to grieving process. Sept and now it Day 21 with no cigs and i am so thankful. I get moments here and there it time for a cig then I remember i don't smoke anymore. This has to be permanent. I have been up nights last 3 weeks coughing and then breathing problems thru out day. I am healing but i am fighting too. I have raw chopped 4 garlic cloves and gulp it down hot tea and honey on empty stomach first thing in morning. Thrn On bus into work I put NOW brand peppermint oil on my nose and practice deep breathing with my belly and say my prayers on bus ride I realised i always inclined to keep a tight tummy tucked in not good at all a bad habit too. I have cough bottle on hand, throat drops and drink lots liquids, throat spray too and rub ears and chest with peppermint oil and on my back too it settles me in evenings cos i get used get agressive cough attacks to frighten me. Chinese say lungs can get sick over grieving and sadness so I try let my body heal on its own intelligent terms same as my heart too. I taking magnesium and vit d3 to stop asthma and i feel improvements and cleansing from my self imposed stop smoking campaign. I dont want go dr yet. I dont want antiobiotics or steroids but i will if i feel i have too. I rest as much as possible. And i take spa detox bath twice a week with some epsom baking soda vinegar and hydrogen peroxide for 20 mins and boy it help me sweat out trapped toxins so i hope to be a healthy non smoker soon.
