Food Replacement

Every time I crave a cigarette I eat. Even if I just had a meal, I would usually have a cigarette, instead I am eating more food.
I have struggled with weight gain since having children 5 years ago, so maybe Nicotine was a big impact on me not being able to put on weight? I wonder....

Hello Gee80. I have read your recent posts and I wish I could make your quit a "good" quit. Unfortunately, I can't.... but you might be able to! Read, read, read from this forum and even use the search tool. Weight gain is the lesser of two evils. Concentrate on quitting the smokes then tackle weight after that.
Try to stay positive. You can conquer this. You obviously want this. Try thinking of things to do to keep busy. When the urge comes, drink water, breath deep, go to bed early. In the beginning, when I got the urge, I waited an hour. Most often, I did not even realize the hour was up. So,... take it one hour at a time, one day at a time.
Stay close to this community. Do some serious reading. We have ALL been through day 1, day 2, so on,... Some have trouble, some don't. Some learn how to change their mindset. I work on my mindset often. We are only human. Keep working at it Gee80 and think that this is the time you WILL quit. Do it for yourself. You will not regret it. Best....

Hi Gee80. As NOPE said work on your mindset often and really look into what is available to read. Allen Carr’s easy way is good when / if you are ready. It sounds like you are ready now to stop, as you are asking for some help with this transition. I recommend going thru the stories and comments on this site to get help and advice 🌟
