6 Months ...Wow
I can't believe I made it 6 months!
It has not been easy, especially the first 3-4 months!
I still have those few out of the blue cravings/thoughts and it does catch me off guard. I think to
Myself why is this still happening, oh yeah the junkie mind.
The one that still gets to me is when I am getting ready to drive somewhere and it is raining and I think oh I need to smoke first before I get in the car because I can’t roll the window down. OH MY..N.O.P.E.
The second problem is I live in Florida and during season it rains every day!!!
I don’t think about smoking 24/7 like in the beginning, but you have to be careful because you are not thinking about it so when it creeps up on you…..whoa!

Congratulations on your 6 month milestone. If you have quit this long, there is greater chance that you can accept this positive change in your life. Just because the nicomonster sneaks up once in a while is not an indication that your desires have changed. You made a CHOICE to quit smoking and enjoy freedom and the extras that come along with it.
My hubby who quit right behind me would see smoke from a mosquito coil and reach for the ashtray at around 6 months, maybe longer. You have to just laugh at yourself and remember that it is an automatic reflex of many years in the making.
We can choose to resume smoking at any time. Should you feel overwhelmed in that direction, perhaps you should take a moment to reconsider by reading "The Smokers Vow". While I advocate that everyone should read Allan Carr, Joel Spritz has a library full of thoughts and videos.

Good job Rsan on making the 6 month mark. You have done very well and have shown how strong you really are. There may be some discomfort along the way, but it seems you just plow right through it. Good going! Great to hear about success stories,.. so encouraging,.. so inspiring,... simply AMAZING!!! We CAN do this!!! YEAH!!! Keep going strong my friend,... you got this!!
