32days

First time posting, I quit 32days ago...feeling really good apart from the anxiety😒 and a little tension in my neck and shoulders. The symptoms were real strong the first 3wks, headache, dry mouth, anxiety, heavy chest. But now most symptoms seam to come and go. I've got my fingers crossed on feeling normal by the 12wk mark. I also find symptoms are worse around that time of the month. 🤷♀️

Neveragain will you torment your body with drugs, chemicals and tars from a cigarette. You are work so much more, you must be feeling more energetic , breathing better and extremely satisfied with yourself for coming this far. It all passes completely in time and well worth any effort involved. Being smoke free is truly wonderful!

Congratulations on 32 days smoke free, you should be so proud of yourself for getting this far during a busy time of year. After reading your post it looks as though you may have tried before, so all you need to do now is to stay in touch, and say the Mantra NOPE (not one puff ever) every day in written form or in mental form to yourself, the best present ever.
Come back again and Happy New Year to you and everyone on this forum, lets stick together in 2021.

Thank you
Yes i have quit twice before... first time 9months then just over 2yrs. I've never had the withdrawal symptoms before and if I did I don't remember it. The first 3wks were definitely the hardest, mainly the anxiety. Anxiety I never thought I had.🤷♀️

Congrats on 32 days! It's amazing!! I too have been struggling with anxiety.... I am 45 days smoke free and wake up with really bad anxiety each day. A friend ells me it's because I went cold turkey? I hope it shall pass soon. keep going strong, Neveragain! You can do this!!

You both can do this, I have been on the roundabout a few times, and the thing that helped me was the Mantra said every day, and this time the thought that it will bring me much happiness in the future. Now is the time to bring the mindset of being the happiest of non-smokers into being.
Each and every night think of one good thing during the day, that you experienced, rest and relaxation plus plenty of time in the outdoors either for relaxation or an exercise, this gives us the help our bodies needs.
