Breathing techniques.

When I got a craving I concentrated on my breathing and found the feeling passed after 2-3 minutes.

It’s my 2nd week and while it feels easier, I’m finding the heart palpitations really awful upon waking.

I’ve been on champix for 4 weeks but non smoking for 2 week, I’ve spoken with pharmacist and she says it’s my body craving nicotine but it’s quite scary, has anyone experienced this?

Hello MadHatter44, I suffered heart palpitations later on in my quit, it is scary but you can develop a habit of giving yourself plenty of night time thoughts upon waking, such as "When I wake I will be happy refreshed and calm" this will help you get over the nervous thoughts that are there before you go to sleep. 2 weeks is still early days, so your thoughts should be on your personal happiness at achieving your goals, saving money, and trying out some calming methods like meditation and deep breathing, the deep breathing in and slowly out, stops any palpitations. Rewards are important so make sure you get your rewards no matter how small.
