Man, I can seem to clear my throat and my lungs although getting air never seem to be enough. Is this just anxiety with withdrawal symptoms? Its driving me nuts and with all the Covid stuff going around ... I wonder why I choose these months to quit ... seems to just add to the worry of it all. Did most people experience mucus stuck at the back of the throat that just sits? Next Tuesday will be a month and im getting worried it will never go away. :(

while every quit is different things do get better over time. Hang in there!

schedule 10 May 2020

Welcome others have had a problem with mucus, I had a slight problem, nothing to write home about. It is early days yet so keep on going. What did work for me was stopping what I was doing, sitting down, breathing in deeply and letting my breath out slowly repeating 5-10 times. It is a relaxing technique which helps stop the panic.

As for choosing this time for quitting, dare I say it is an ideal time to quit with fewer distractions, time to focus, and acknowledging that we are all fragile in the greater scheme of things, keep your mind and body healthy with daily practice. Congratulations on one month.

There’s never a good time to quit but the day you quit was the best day. It will get better. We all have different symptoms - I wanted to punch a wall but now I can smell better and I did not realise the changes until I did; the new joys you will find will make up for this

The mucus is not a bad indicator. It indicates the regeneration of ciliary structures in your lungs which are starting to expel the mucus and tar. It should get better 👍

Thanks, I know its part of the process ... but that with everything going on in the world has made my amenity so much worse ... never had panic attacks like this before. Worse part is it seems to go away for 2 days then come back for 3 or 4 then resides again ...so I start to feel better and then it comes back.

It is safe to say that Covid somehow effected all of us on some psychological level. To be honest, I stopped thinking and reading about it after the first couple of weeks. I just read the scientific data on pubmed j. Calm app also helps in reducing your anxiety. Feel free to contact if you feel anxious. Peace ✌️
