Just about to start day 2, feeling pretty tired didn't sleep to well last night, my mind trying to conjure up reasons why i should get up and have a smoke. Tried some deep breathing exercises which helped a little, but in the end had too tough it out. Will buy some Cammomile? tea today to help with sleep. If i'm honest with myself, I do feel ok, happy I've chosen to do this so thats a small pat on the back for me. Hope everyone else is travelling well

its about how you feel. nicotine wants you to think you miss it and need it, we know better. stay strong and be the winner.

Good on you Mandella. One day at a time. The most important and hardest day is done.

I was watching a smoker in a car this morning while I was out walking my dogs. She was approaching a set of lights, smoke in her mouth, desperately trying to light it, but lighter wasn't working. She nearly crossed lanes and had a crash. Been there. There were certain corners/landmarks that were my light up trigger. I am glad I was off work on the start of my quit, so I could avoid that. Change some of your routines if you can, keep the mind games under control.

Keep it up Mandella!

I’m only a few days in myself, and although every night I’m scrolling through other peoples stories in search of motivation. I feel now I can go through this journey with someone else.

@lando I had those same landmark triggers on my drive to work, I knew exactly when to light my smoke, so that I was putting it out while parking the car at the office. So last few days I was leaving home earlier and taking random turns and extending my trip, I focused on my surroundings and my driving, rather than autopilot.
