Feel Angry, Not happy since quit smoking - today day 20 for quit

Hi Everyone, I quit smoking since 07/02/2020. i was having a cough and fever every 4 to 6 months when i was smoking. i was trying to quit smoking since 7 years. every night i throw the cigrate pack then again next morning start to smoke. it was very hard time for me since 7 years trying to quit. i was having a mental health issues also caused by smoke. then on last christmas party for 2019 smoke too much and drink lot of cold beers. then i was cought by cough in the chest. already got medicine from doctor twice including antibiotic, but no getting better. so i decided to quit smoking completely on 07-02-2020.
My experience was, on first 2 to 3 days did not feel for smoke, then on 3 day i had a strong cravings for cigrate. but i controlled a lot by thinking of my health. now i reached to day 20. i dont have any cravings for cigrates now. i am happy that i reached day 20. its a magical thing for me that is happened. but i am having a issue with my Anger, Sadness, anxity etc.
Anybody can help me on that?, any idea until when this issue will be continue.
Plz reply.
Thanks,
Babba

Hi aa. It is a wonderful decision that you have made. I am sorry you feel anger and resentment for giving up such an evil part of your life. You are new here and need to read stories and understand what nicotine did to us. Make it a paert of your past eagerly and with gladness. Read Allen Carr's book. No one can make you understand like he can. The book is free and only takes a short time to READ (DO NOT SKIM). iT has helped many to overcome and remain free. Joining us here is also encouraged on a regular basis for a sustainable quit. You can do this!

Thanks for your advise, i will read that book. i don't feel craving for cigrate. but i have drowsy feeling after half of my day is past. at morning feeling anger. at night could not sleep well. now i have made my mind to never smoke again. i felt already how i have destroyed my life with it. i am still 33, so hoping for happy life ahead of me.
Thanks

You will have an amazing life now Babba, Every night before you go to sleep, think of one thing in that day that made you smile then when you have done that say to yourself I will have a restful and healing sleep and wake up refreshed in the morning (something like that) It helps with any sadness you feel for any situation and once you embrace your quit you will want to sleep more restfully.

You may need a natural anti anxiety remedy like st Johns wort, or a mild sleeping aid for a while. disgusting smokes have a small anti depression element - part of the reason I struggled. It's normal to have these feelings when ceasing an addiction. Think of the hardwork and pain you go through a birthing pains for your new, cleaner, better life. Ggood luck.

Raise your dopamine with things you like like, chocolate, smelling lavendar, doing things that make you happy. Exercise also raises dopamine which we were used to being raised when we had a smoke.
Think positive and it will get better and so worth it!

Thanks for everyone for your comments!
Today day 26 without smoke, feeling better little bit. stress level going down now. start to feel happy.
Thanks Happiness for your comment! i really start to smell the things which i never smell before when i was smoking. now the smelling scent or flowers also make me happy. you r right. feeling of smelling things is changed.
Good luck!
