Well done you, you should be proud, 15 days cold turkey is amazing.

This is what scares me, failing. This will be my 3rd attempt on Champix, quit date now moved to 1st February but have gone from 20 cigs a day to 3. Cold turkey is not for me.

I tried the drugs and other stuff years ago never worked for me , i think it has just come time for me to man up and do it , But if you are just down to 3 smokes a day you can stop now mate , its doable if i can you can

It does get easier Lockie. Take one day at a time, and try to put everything into a positive light. When you get a craving, hate the cigarette for what it has taken , and if you should ever feel tempted, just think how much more you would hate it and yourself as well.Remember that you are winning! You have come this far, and the worst is past. You can do this!

Im on day 29 do not worry i felt like that on day 10 to 20 it was extremely hard however it does get easy.

Being smoke free for 15 days is a significant achievement; if you can get that far then you'll get further so keep going! There's no one fixed formula that will work for everyone who wants to quit, and the mix of withdrawal symptoms we suffer are unique to ourselves, but there do seem to be some common points. I've regularly seen contributors on here saying that things started getting easier after 3 weeks (day 21 onwards) and they did for me too. It does get easier, there's no doubt about that at all, and it's worth the effort to resist those ciggys until it does. You're almost there, Lockie.

Well its now been 5 weeks and 1 day since i started to quit i had one relapse last week where a got 1 cigerette of a person i lit it up and took 2 puffs and i spat it out ha ha , it tasted like crap to me and made my head spin wow i couldnt believe it after 40 years of smoking they now tasts like crap to me, But i still think i want one every now and then so how do i over come this thinking and not desire to have a puff its hard to explain . How long will this fight take to actually have the confidence of never going back to smoking i have stated to ride a bicycle about 10 km a day to try and keep my mind active and also help my body but not sure how will it take to notice any real changes that everyone says takes affect so i will see i guess , so im very very happy i have gotten this far its been a challenge and still is wish me luck :) .
