Hello all, so i am on day 8 of taking Champix, and really thought this is not working for me. I smoked even if the cigarette tasted awful. Then i got 2 reply`s on my first story i shared, and those 2 lady`s (i think) motivated me to keep going, So THANK YOU!

I had hopefully my last smoke yesterday after work. I went and put the cigarettes and ashtray in the kitchen and not on the table next to me (like always). That way its out of sight and i don` reach for them every 5 minutes. Change the pattern....that`s what i got to do!!! and it`s working. Haven`t had a cigarette since. GO ME!! Good luck all.

Welcome pe and congratulations on choosing to quit. Firstly you need to remove thoughts like hopefully had my last smoke from your mind. Quitting is a mindset and in order to quit you have to want to quit more than you want to smoke. So when you are ready brace yourself, back yourself 110% and be solid and determined and never look back only forward and tell yourself you CAN DO THIS not hopefully😊

Hi Pe, your doing soo great, πŸ˜πŸ‘ this site has kept me motivated and on track. Just remember the 3day, 3rd week, 3rd month, ( they are the hardest so they say)

When I tried to give on in March this year I had someone that had given up for 10yrs and was going to support me through the quit. I was told you just need to get through every minute, every hour and not just by this one person, I was given nicobate which I totally refuse to take as i want the nicotine out of my body. The thought of going through that thought process every day for god knows how long I was set to fail..

a friend of mine told me about the Allen Carr quit smoking books πŸ“š, it is my bible, it just puts Your mind in a different mindset. So yes I do think about smoking, I think about how happy and great I feel about not smoking those 5 cigarettes before lunch. I think πŸ€” how productive I am as I always found smoking such a time waster.

I refuse to say I will never have a smoke again, I find that has been my undoing but what do say is I don’t want to smoke and I can not justify paying that ridiculous amount of money..

First thing I do in the morning is Have a teaspoon of honey and then have a coffee( they say honey helps repair the lungs) just as well I like honey 🍯.

😁😁😁

You can do this. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hi SuzyQ92, thanks for that. I started the 1mg today and don`t feel different., maybe it`s coming. I ordered the Allen Carr book ( he`s go so many) from our local library and i also followed your lead on the earmagnet on ebay. It has good reviews, so i`ll have a go. Even here at work i have to change what i associate with cigarettes. It`s not easy but i haven`t caved yet. Does 19 hours cigarette free count haha. I did not bring any with me to work!! The temptation is to risky. So i packed myself some snacks to keep my mouth busy. I haven`t stop chewing since i got here lol. I even packed my toothpaste and brush so i can brush regulary after munching and not crave that smoke. I keep telling myself, "think of what you can do with all that cash your going to have" I can do this x

Well done Pe, 19 hours pretty goodπŸ˜πŸ‘ lemon green tea with a teaspoon of honey 🍯 I don’t know what it is but I seem to crave that instead of the cigarettes, though it will help with the sore throat and chest. I have seen on hear drink water through a straw it will help with the cravings. your doing soo good. 😁😁
