Nicabate mints

Hello, I am currently 5 days in with NO nicabate tablets.

My past is this- Cut smoking 18 months ago- been using the nicabate tablets ever since. I HATED this habit and I waited until I became busy- start of school and its going ok.

The first day- surprisingly easy, however, the last 4 days ALL I can think about is going to grab a packet.

Trying hard to fight the urge to do it- I do know when I wake up I am glad I never caved the night before...

I would love to hear about others experiences with Nicabate... Healing from the addiction/habit.

My use was OFTEN- I always had it on me.

My focus right now is on catching the desire- think they call it urge surfing?

As with smoking a lot is in the mind.........I used Champix to give up. I had had numerous previous attempts but in the end it was Champix as it reduces the cravings / urges. After about two weeks of not smoking I stopped taking the Champix even though my doctor had told me to continue using it until the end of the pack. My daughter used gum and has admitted she still has the ocassional smoke ( maybe 1 or 2 a month) but regrets it soon after. She stopped smoking 2 years ago. Wow I had never heard of urge surfing before lol. We are all different and the thing that I look back at now and this is what finally worked for me also was, I stopped having a smoke first thing in the morning, I would wait 1/2 hour, then an hour, this went on for many weeks prior. I would not smoke after dinner at night (not every night) and would take comfort in knowing I could do it. People say the hardest is when socialising and drinking. Wasn't really a problem for me.......but have reduced alcohol consumption a far bit which in itself is not a bad thing.......Keep at it and you will find a solution that works for you eventually oh and pat yourself on the back as you are having a go and you will be so amazed at yourself when you do it for the long term (I am only smoke free 4 months :) but so so proud of myself!)
