ever hopeful

I haven't fallen off the plan and don't intend to, just having a set back. time to dig deeper, I've checked out the advise, I would love to go for a walk at those harder times. not possible so I figure I'm going to have to search for an alternative. didn't cope with the stresses too well today and I know they will be there even when I've kicked this habit. I haven't found a quit buddy yet so looks like this site is going to get a hammering not back to 30 a day so thats a positive. and I just got to go back to my chart and put some smiley faces on the cigies I managed to avoid. My life and living is more important than giving up on this journey. I started by going straight out for a smoke first thing and not having 2 smokes in a row when I went out side then now cutting coffee and having tea instead it actually helps. Now the smokes are going to get a new home so I can't actually see them. It is only day 4 of the pre-quit program. what aim is in 11 nights and 10 days it will be a bit easier and I will only be giving up 5 smokes not 30.

You could try giving your craving a name. I called mine Margaret Thatcher. That was cold turkey 544 days ago... I smoked a pack a day for 45 years...

Hi Crankygran.....on this site we are all quit buddies. All in it together for the same purpose. Feel free to request or advise. Cheers.
