Strong cravings..... Again!!!

Hi all,

Day 58 today and it feels like day 1 again... The cravings are fairly strong today so I jumped online here to distract myself. I recall someone's post that said the cravings seem to come in 30 day increments - I agree... At nearly 60 days now the last time the cravings were like this was just before the 30 days, and of course at day 1 when I started

I find this all very strange and interesting on how the cravings seem to creep up on me like this. I also understand they will be like this for some time yet - but I'm good - no fear of taking up the filthy habit again - I just wanted to say (particularly to the newbies) that even at almost 60 days in the cravings still sneak up on you... Its 8.20am here at work - do you think its too early for a chuppa chup????

Steve, that bald actor was Yul Brynner. He died in 1985 from lung cancer aged 65.Was a heavy smoker. He made an anti smoking commercial before his death ......his last words in the commercial were "don't smoke". This commercial can be viewed on you tube. Hang in there people.

Thanks guys, I continue to remain smoke free :o)

I did have a chuppa chup at 8.20am - thanks Steve ;o) . I find the chuppa chups particularly helpful during my quit journey. They last a long time and I still get that (sub-conscious) hand/mouth action as you would when smoking a cigarette. For example after watching a movie my partner and I would go outside for a ciggie. Now he has the ciggie and I have a chuppa chup (not all the time though - only when a bad craving strikes). Also, I find them extremely helpful when I drink. I'm only a social drinker but as most of us know a ciggie goes very well with a beverage of choice - but so do chuppa chups ;o)
