Using NRT and distracting yourself helps

Posted in Quit experiences

I have now been smoke free for 5 weeks, the day I quit I never thought I'd get this far. I have found using NRT has really helped, however I am using it less and less these days. I find myself still thinking about wanting to have a smoke, but realize that these thoughts don't really last long anyway and the thoughts don't come as often as well (that's probably the cravings still). I am doing other things now instead of smoking and have found that distracting myself really helps. I'm also really enjoying not having to struggle to find the money to buy smokes, but have the money to buy and do the things I love and enjoy to do.
