Difficulty

Hey Sally, stay busy. Write out a list of things you want to get done. Make a cup of tea and stay strong. The first 2 days are hardest after that you will find it gets easier. Take each hour as it comes first of all and be kind to yourself. You're doing amazingly.

Hey Sally I just joined and hopefully became a non smoker since yesterday I know it's hard and will get harder for a few weeks at least, but just try to focus at the end of our road we will look at lot better and feel better health wise and our bank balance will be better. I've brought myself a money box and I have started to put the cost of a pkt of smokes in there. Hopefully will fill the moneybox up. Good luck on our journeys.

Welcome Sally Sue, I am 77 days smoke free and it has only been two days that the urge has finally subsided. Don't get me wrong its still there but today it is not in the forefront of my mind.
I think the urge to smoke is actually harder to deal with than the nicotine craving, it is a constant argument of the mind, for me my stubborn streak kicked in, I dug my heels in and refused to have a smoke.
Exercise, keeping busy, puzzles whatever if takes and this site, read the posts, the comments and post yourself tell us whats going on, how you feel, just writing down whats going on in your head can help. this forum is such a good support network.
