I was planning to publish a story when I come to 100 days and now I see that it is 102 days smoke free. I forgot at it.

Well, I must admit I am proud of myself. I haven't smoked for 102 days. This site helped me a lot at the very beginning of my guest. In a way I felt like I am going to disappoint you (even we don't know each other) if I would slipped.

Still on track. :)

p.s. Sometimes cigarettes miss me to much but then I thing of all positive things of being smoke free and I hold on.

Lady k

You have done so great and what an achievement.

This is your journey into the No Smoking world...

If you slip up..it tells me you are only human...don't beat yourself up about it...

I would feel upset for you as you have done so great but the only person you have let down is yourself,

Don't be fooled into thinking the smokes are missing you, trust me its a big con.

But when you hit the 200 days ( u can do it )...I hope to read your story.

logic would say smoking has not one good thing going for it , it does not enhance life in anyway, all it does is steal health, money and ultimately life.

so why is it so hard to stop? try stopping something else you have done daily for several years it doesn't have to be harmful per se, its just something we have done sure we all have something, just stop doing it ?? its not going to be easy , why wont it be easy to stop?

humans are creatures of habit or routine, so yes it may take several months for the body to detox and change brain function to work without the nicotine firing off the dopamine receptors to make us "feel good" and that is the trick of all good drugs the feel good and then the big steal. but after that has gone and while that is going we are still losing a friend albeit a not so nice friend.

even a bad marriage involves a grieving process and this is my whole point whether good or bad loss is loss and we have to grieve the end of a relationship and maybe not enough of how to do this is written about, its more smoking is bad don't do it, we all know that, but after we stop how do we grieve in a healthy way?

I don't know the full answer but I would think its feeling the feelings we would have with any loss in life.

so be nice to ourselves cut ourselves some slack have a rest day do not much, do the things we like and above all acknowledge the feelings we have about stopping smoking, the loss of a bad marriage hurts too !!

It is exciting to read these stories. I log on every now and again. I'm coming up 4 years after smoking for 35 years.I am fit , I walk for 1 hour every morning , i'm off to the US and Alaska next month paid for by not buying cigarettes. How good is that. Keep up the good work
