Not far into my quitting plan but it feels good to make a start.

This is not my first time giving up and I understand the tough road that lies ahead.

Id appreciate any advise from people who have found ways to get through all the fun :P

Good luck and suggest you spend some time reading the posts and responses on this site. You will find others you can identify with. Some stories will ring true to your situation. Do your research on this site. It is truly amazing. For me, day 161 smoke free and still rely on support from users of this site.

I hear ya, had a look around this site and found some things useful. I failed after 20 hours and am now starting again. It been 3hours since my last smoke and this because of the guilt I felt when I did have a few smokes. Now I have a diary, writing down what I find difficult and wrote down when I smoke. I have now got a plan in place for the times I would smoke. For example I love reading and while I have a bit of a read I have a smoke, now I take a bowl of fruit with me and munch on that. Most of the time I have a smoke when I sit down, so I keep moving or have a fruit or veg, or I grab my diary and write down what I am going through and remind myself why I am doing this. Keep yourself busy and keep your mind busy. Not saying it will work but tis for me :)

Good to hear you jumped straight back into it deec. Always have to remember the urge to light up is temporary but the benefits are permanent. I like the idea of getting a handle on all the situations that are the hardest. Might give a diary a go. Happy reading :)
