Day 2- Tired and Cranky

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 7 Oct 2015

This morning started out stressful. Need to pick up our Salmon order by Nine and a Dr. appt at 10- woke up at 8:30- so rush rush rush. My POB ( poor Old Bill, my hubby) drives me nuts. We got it done, picked up the salmon at 9, drove home, threw it in freezer- literally, then got back in car and made the 45 mi drive to Dr.

Now that I am home, I realize that I create the stressful situations by a) not reviewing my calendar the evening before; b) not having a quick breakfast plan for grab n go- thereby creating a low blood sugar HANGRY situation c) not setting my alarm so that I had ample time to walk up and not be running on adrenalin. Now I will add this to my list of triggers and coping skills.

I hear you, but my ideas of running close to time is so that I don't have time to think about how I used to have a cigarette before work but then I feel stressed as I am rushing and it just follows in circles.

Good on you for reviewing your coping strategies and dealing with the Hangry..

Keep at it..

Hang in there Sunny. You are obviously a super busy lady so be kind to yourself and hang in there. I've found that I am feeling more anxious since I stopped smoking too. I think I probably always was but used the smokes to cover up. Now I run on the spot for 50 when I get stressed. If I'm really bad I do it in front of the mirror. I look soooo ridiculous it cracks me up.
