i am 44 year male from sothern part of india. i am a healthy person with smocking habit for about 25 years. since child hood i was attracted towards smocking as something special. i cant remember when i was started... but i smocked at about 12 ...the last but which was lying with litup. it grew during my college days and become part. i was smocking average of 5 to 10 cigerate

since last 15 years i was smocking every night before going to bed by promising my self not to smock from tomorrow. mostly i tried about 15 to 20 times and but faild within 2/3/4/7 days. but best one thing i maintaind that i went on studying my failure and finding the remedy. cause for my failure was first emotional and latter was handling the craving. one more best thing about me was i was a good yoga practitioner since my age of 30 (monthly 10 to 15 days).

now i want to share my quit programe since 10 days wihch i am continuing. as usual after quit thinking in the night of 7th jan i woke up on 8th morning. i left my kids to school bus and made one smocking straight away came home and took bath, then went to my yoga. after one hour of yoga i was confidend as usual.

now my real experience. when ever i quit, i drink 5-6 lt of water daily and eat lot of food, to over come my appatite, eat lot of fruits, also eat carrot. the most helped me to over come the crave is internet study and understanding the cause of nicotine withdwral, the study of dophamine, increasing the dophamine through food. i was self tutor within my self and i was a self patient who was undertaking the treatment.

first 6 day, everyday  i wrote down my reason to quit, and my daily experience.

my main medicine was yoga, lot of fruits particularly orange, musumbi, banana  drink lot of water, when ever crave happend i eat ground nuts which helped a lot.

i found my metabolism change as i started one best morning  motion with clean and ease. i found my spirituality at high as if my body is doing and decinding its job automatically on behalf of me. i looked every persons as same as me and handled the all situations perfectly.

still to come.

Well done Pravi and thanks for sharing. I have heard that yoga and meditation are very good ways of allowing your body to heal itself. Good advice for all of us.

Excellent Pravi. Sounds like you're doing really well! I also find that writing down reasons to quit and keeping a smoking journal help tremendously. I'm also into a bit of meditation for relaxation and to stay focused. Thank you for sharing your story. Best wishes. xx
