Quit4Good

Hi, after smoking a pack a day for 28 years I knew I had to give up smoking - only patches didn't seem to work for me or any of those inhalers or horrible tablets you put under your tongue, etc. I heard about Quit4Good where you use cytisine strips that disolve in your mouth and thought I would give it a go... I haven't had a cigarette for 25 days now and it was amazingly simple - no cravings at all - only time that I have thought about a cigarette is when I am doing something where I used to smoke - ie having a cup of coffee.

yeah that is good i have heard of those strips no drugs or chemicals well i wish you all the best and have a smoke-free life.

Hi bubble, phone 1300 784 844 or www.quit4good.com.au (but their website doesn't look to be working at the moment). The cost was $250 for the course

Ok, so I've taken the plunge and started on the strips yesterday. I was reluctant at first (because of all the comments about these guys, how oddly unprofessional they seem etc) but, having tried Champix, cold turkey, patches, lozenges, gum, and even hypnosis I needed something.
You know what? They're actually good, they work. It's only day 2 and so I'm not saying it's the end just yet, but in less than 24 hours I have noticed a sincere and genuine change. It's ridiculously positive so far. Will write more in a few days to see how it pans out.

Good on you for giving them a go, they have been a life changer for me - I am now 66 days smoke free -I don't crave smokes at all, it is just every now and then that a routine or habit will have me questioning why I'm not having a smoke. Honestly, it was so hard before, feeling guilty out the front or back yard sneeking a smoke with the kids inside or being caught out by friends or neighbours who didn't realise I still smoked. I honestly wish I had heard about this years ago, but I suppose you really do have to be ready to give up and commit. I have found that my matabolism has slowed down, but a small price to pay for improved health - will just continue to push on at the gym until the matabolism is restored. Good luck with your journey and hope it is as positive as mine.
