Hi Robert H, okay firstly you have got to have a plan and steps. The first big step is no trace of smokes around you. Early day you are vulnerable to going back.

I can relate as I was a heavy smoker 25 to 30 daily for 20 odd years. I could not go without. Set a quit date, preferably by the end of that pack you currently have. It is one minute at a time, then to hours and then to days etc. Write on here and reading posts here will help you too. I find distracting yourself when you feel like one, drink a glass of water slowly. Gum , tabs ,. Have you figured out what method you are going to use to support you?. Give yourself a fair starting chance quit. Good luck with it ,I hope it works out for you. Posting here really helps and reading other people's posts can help keep the focus, on your goal, we are hear to support you. good luck

Robert, you can't have tobacco lying around. It's too tempting. Throw them away and try again.
