Day 3!

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 29 Jun 2013

Feeling good. I know from previous experience this has always been the hardest day - The fact that I'm not well is helping, but I also woke up this morning feeling like a non-smoker! Telling myself (and everyone else) constantly that I don't smoke has been helping alot.

I nearly slipped up twice - the first time since quitting that I drove the car was the worst. I got as far as holding a cigarette - but I never lit it, which is great. I put it away reminding myself that yes, just one will hurt, and got some gum out instead.

The second time, last night at the gym. I fell and hurt my ankle in class, then again on the stairs. Well, my normal way of dealing with pain was to light a cigarette. Instead I promised myself if I could go without one while I dropped my nephew off and then did the shopping, then I could try a hot chocolate from Oliver Browns.

I got my hot chocolate. :)

So, once today is over I know cravings get easier to handle. But I'm surprising myself how well I'm doing so far, and without any helping products either! Just extra chewing gum.

This is it, quitting for good. :)
