Spice up your Cravings

Before I quit, i had been taking a lung cleanser of Ginger and Turmeric (recipe on line) 2 Tbs Morning and before bed. It turns out that Ginger eases nausea and suppresses appetite as well as reduces nicotine cravings. This mixture detoxed my body, and made me accidentally quit smoking. My story is available to see. Also drink lots of water to help the body rid of toxins and nicotine.

Hi Red-67
lol... don't want jealousy from you or anyone else. If we are non-smokers now, that makes us the enemy. But we were long time smokers too , and just as stupid , naive and lost before we opened our eyes and minds to understanding the truth. Nicotine was the trap, like fruit flies to in the vinegar bottle, they get lured in, but can't get out again. Once the nicotine poisoned the mind it is constantly at war with the other part of our brain that says "you know the truth, why do you keep burying your head in the sand?) Why? FEAR. What Fear? fear of dying? No... no... no... We are not afraid of dying, we are afraid to see the truth. We are ashamed we became addicts, we know the truth, that is why we lied so we didn't have to be so disgusted with ourselves. Even once knowing the truth, some would rather die than give up the cigarette. These Smokers don't fear death, we have played Russian roulette for years. We give oil changes, and wax our cars, but we treat our bodies like crap and poison it. What smokers fear is that they don't know how to be a non-smoker. They Fear becoming one because they don't know it they can cope with it. That is why we have to face of fears and stare down nicotine and get our lives back. We can be Happy Non=Smokers by reconditioning our minds, taking back some of our pride by knowing that we had the, clear mind, concentration and confidence all along without nicotine taking the credit. We were all non-smokers at one time, it should be like riding a bike. We are the same inside regardless of our colour or race. We are the same on the inside whether we smoked our not. Those who didn't have better health. And we were jealous of them.
a couple of quotes come to mind .... The Truth shall Set you Free
There is Nothing to Fear But Fear Itself
The fear will paralyze us into doing nothing. Doing nothing will result in great consequences. If nicotine has done nothing for us, and all we do believe it did for us all these years is lies. When it blinds us to save ourselves.... It can't happen to me....... What is the opposite? What is the real truth"
The road to being a Happy Non-Smoker is to be grateful and oh so Happy to have been given the tools to set yourself free. All you have to do to be one is NEVER SMOKE AGAIN!
I know you figured a lot this out for yourself Red as did I. But I am still reading Allan Carrs book and it is POWERFUL. He took 400 pages to wipe out all doubts in smokers minds. I am hoping that if you and I believe this and have no cravings there must be others. You and I are alot alike Red. Both of us were so excited about our freedom and wanted to let the others know they could achieve it too... I know they can... You know they can... Do they?

WHAT IS A HAPPY-NON-SMOKER AND HOW DO I BECOME ONE? QUESTION ANSWERED TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY ACHIEVING THE MIND SET
The MIND SET is your basic way of thinking, natural and without doubt. It can be changed or altered to truly believe, just as you may favor one political party for years and OPEN MINDED enough to see the arguments presented by the other party to change your vote.
You are here to quit smoking so you have opened your mind to the possibilities of becoming a non-smoker. Or have you?
Now to BELIEVE that you can be!
Did you ever believe in Santa Claus? The tooth Fairy? Did life go on after you found out they didn't really exist? Yes, admittedly when i found out there was no Santa a bit of the magic was gone. But did i cry? Did i mope around waiting for Santa to come back? Was i sick over it? Did i constantly think about him all the time? Did i get cravings for Santa the next Christmas? Well those of us who have been open minded should by now see what the Nicotine only made us believe. We know now that smoking cigarettes gave us absolutely nothing. The drug affected our dopamine This is our happy place, the center for happy triggers in our brain. When, and only when you actually BELIEVE this, can you move onto the next step of becoming a Happy Non-Smoker.
What is an EX-SMOKER? Someone who used to smoke. Simple. Did they mentally commit to NEVER smoking again? Some may have , others may have decided to ABSTAIN from smoking. (body repair, operation, to prove to themselves they could, or for someone else). We know you are more likely to have a successful quit because you WANT to quit .(a mind set) I think can show you the way to the door to open to be a Happy Non-Smoker who vows to NEVER SMOKE AGAIN. I found it, so i hope i can lead you there. Allan Carrs book will get you there, but it is 400 pages.( i am about 3/4 through it now. ) I didn't need a book. I am taking a short cut her and hope it is enough to work for some. .
If you follow me so far, and understand there are some MUSTS to be successful. You must WANT to quick smoking. You must understand and believe what nicotine did to you and ADMIT that you were an addict. (Is that not the first steps in AA?) We have to know that like a reforming heroine user who cannot ever have another fix, we have to know that we can never have another cigarette. You can still attempt another quit, and know you are an ex-smoker, or even the belief that you will become a Non-Smoker. but i think you only really get ONE SHOT at becoming a HAPPY NON - SMOKER! A Happy-Non -Smoker has no doubts that he chooses to live as a non-smoker and the only thing different than smokers is that they don't smoke. To stay a Happy non-smoker... simply DON'T SMOKE!
Do non-smokers have cravings for cigarettes? No! And neither should you.
In the book i know he has some kind of ritual to extinguish the last cigarette. I knew when i put my last one out i KNEW it was my last, that i wanted free of it, i wanted my health to improve, and i didn't want to crave it ever again! For those of us who have already quit smoking, he suggests taking a moment to reflect and picture our goodbye to that last cigarette and what it represents in our minds eye. If you envision a fond farewell then you are not in the right MIND SET yet! Better yet have a funeral for it with a friend, say a few parting words of choice and flush it town the toilet! Mangle it first but of course, only after you have stomped on it and swore at it! (Do not attempt this in front of children, or maybe we should sans the swearing!)
I believe that if you BELIEVE , you too can become a Happy Non-Smoker!

What kind of ritual or exorcism do others envision?
