More aware!

Hiya All, Day 7 for me today. Hoping this time will be the one, I feel more focused on quitting after many attempts I realise that I have just been cruising before day by day thinking I was doing great, however this time I am much more aware of the task at hand, when I get a craving or think about smoking I am actually acknowledging it and working through it rather than just keeping busy and trying to forget it. Although this does work and has in the past for me I'm sure my new awareness is beneficial.
I find the first three days the first big hill, headaches, anxiety, no sleep, crankiness, then it gets a little easier. Again from past experience the 3rd week will be my next big hill, I am aware of it, and I am going to make it!!

hi Nic
I haven't been on site for a while and was wondering how you were going..... Do you know what makes you fall over and have a cig? have you had a look at the 'cognitive quitting' website? I found that really helped me, that and some rescue remedy and a few other things (okay lots of things!)
Good luck for your next hill, I'm sure you can make it

I have learnt that misery likes smoking for a companion. Look for something to make you laugh, million times more effective and healthier, than nicotine....it took many quit attempts to make me WISE(lol)

Well done Nic Succeed,
I think you are doing really well the best of luck to you and wish you all the best.

Stay with it Nic or I'll jump out of the 'puter and kick your butt. It's bloody hard I know but believe me once you kick the habit you feel great, to say nothing of being a damned sight richer.
