Hi guys! I’ve been reading so many stories and feel so encouraged by each and everyone of them. Today is the day for me! I found out I’m PREGNANT (again) I’ve got a son already, gave up than stupidly took it back up after giving birth. I’m afraid that I will fail this time as I feel sometimes having a smoke is the only 2 mins I have to myself, but I’m also so determined 🤗!

You can still have time to yourself rather than time to smoke. Do a stint of exercise, play a game on your phone or a quick call to a loved one. When we do things we like, it raises our dopamine which nicotine also triggers.

It is only that first few puffs that people seem to enjoy most, because it relieves the cravings and gives a dopamine hit. The rest of the cigarette goes largely unnoticed..

The act of smoking became a routine of normalcy.

You as I, started smoking again after giving birth. We did not understand and appreciate the freedom. We still thought that we were missing something.

When we see things differently, we can quit smoking. We are missing nothing! Smoking is boring, stinky and a waste of money, time and health. It offers absolutely nothing.

Lose the excuses, Find the Desire to have FREEDOM from smoking. Willpower will always require effort and a conscious decision whereas the Mindset will make it effortless and smoking forgotten entirely. We will not crave what we do not want, because we will not miss it.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and in making a better choice. Read , Learn and Change how you think of smoking. You will quit this horrible addiction and make a better future for yourself and loved ones.

Hi Jade.s,

YES! Today is your day to quit! You have very good reason"S" to quit smoking. One of those reasons MUST be for YOURSELF! Focus on your reasons to quit smoking. You have already done it with your first child. Remember what you did at that time. You can quit again and quit for good! This time, use this community for support. We are your new QuitFam and we ALL have somewhat of an understanding of what you are facing.

Replace your smoking habit with something special. Have a protein drink, or a cup of decaffeinated or herbal tea for those minutes while you escape. Make this tea time a special time,.. your new "me" time. Use a special tea cup for your special moments of solitude.

I have never been pregnant but I know that pregnancy comes with its own set of unique challenges and smoking and pregnancy don't mix well. You are smart to quit today, no better time than NOW. You also need to quit smoking simply for yourself! You DON'T want to be an addict do you? You don't want to be controlled by nicotine do you? You need to take control and you've already quit before, so you have some experience and the more you quit, the better you are at "quitting"!! You will do fine. You took the first step and now you are on your way. Be proud of yourself for taking back control of life!

Set a goal and create a reward for meeting it. For instance, if you quit for a certain length of time, use what you would have spent on cigarettes to buy something for you or for the baby.

YOU can do this Jade.s!! Stay close to this site and keep us posted on your progress. Remember, one hour at a time, one day at a time. Believe me,.. as time goes on, you will start to feel real proud of yourself! Best wishes,...
