Talk to Strangers

I have tried numerous times to quit but I believe mentally you have to be ready to quit - talking to others about there quit journey allows you put yourself in there shoes making it seem possible. Then it’s the constant thought of reminding yourself why you want to quit in the first place. It’s not easy but talking it out definitely helps I will try and try again until I can on day say no thanks I don’t smoke 🚭

Welcome McDonald, I do feel for you. It does take the right mindset thats for sure, but it also takes some effort on your part to enable you to suceed,.
This need not be painful, in fact the thought is more painful than the actual doing. You will never ever regret giving up those deadly cigarettes which have kept you like a puppet on a string, forever pulling back into its clutches. Please research Nicotine the part that keeps you hooked.
Have a look at "How to grow to be a Happy Non smoker" it is a video on utube that helps you identify the why of this habit. Keeping close to this forum also helps, either by posting or reading others posts. The best Mantra for me after trying before was and still is NOPE (not one puff ever) to be said either mentally or aloud every day, or as many times as you like.

That "one day" will come. That day when you realize that you have simply had "enough". The day you BELIEVE that you can stand strong and be free. The desire to quit must be there...the rest will follow. Keep trying. Practice makes perfect. We learn through trial and error. We succeed with knowledge and the right tools. Stay and learn. You wiil do this.
