It's Hard

Day one again for me. I hope this time will be THE time. I find after a few days I stop having cravings but as soon as I have any alcohol I cannot control them and lose all willpower. I have a great marriage (non smoking husband) and wonderful kids and that HAS to be enough to stop this dangerous habit. Fingers crossed...

Don't be too hard on yourself. I too had the same issue when I was trying to quit. It was always alcohol that triggered the lowering of the guard. Now I am smoke AND alcohol free. 2+ years and 18 months respectively. If you know alcohol is the trigger; consider giving it up for a few days/weeks

Good advice Ebeezy, just give yourself some time away from any situation which lowers your resistance. NOPE (not one puff ever)

You can do it. Never give up giving up! You Learned of a weakness , skirt alcohol for a while and draw on your strengths. You will succeed if you whole heartly choose your family and health over this vile addiction.

You can do it. Take away your triggers for a while if that helps. And keep on trying. Day 0 for me too but with champix. I've decided to forgo the alcohol while I'm taking the pills and my stomach bloat left after 2 weeks which was a lovely treat to myself :) I am going to keep trying even if it kills me! Never going to give up giving up.
