Geting started

Ok I am nervous about this I want to quit but I have tried so many times and failed . I hope I can do it this time , I may need help but I am determined

I’m just getting started myself, I’m on the third day smoke free now. Someone on here reminded to forget about all the fails and see this as a fresh attempt. You’ve got this! Get that confidence up. It has also been helping me to repeatedly say I’m not a smoker anymore when I get the cravings.

try I dont smoke anytime you crave. the anymore is a word that describes loss and negativity. positive affirmations have more positive effects Just a thought.

Hi Steve64. Is this your first time joining a quit smoking forum. Such things didn't exist the decades ago when I tried to quit. Thankfully today we have access to information and support right at our fingertips. Knowledge really is power. Positive attitude plays a major role in this journey. While sheer determination or willpower will get the job done, there is an easier way. Not only will learning the MINDSET make the journey easier, and faster but also lasting. Without understanding nicotine and ourselves many tend to fall back into the trap.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear immobilizes you and introduces negativity. Think how you are embarking on the most fantastic journey of a lifetime, and it doesn't cost a dime. Not only that, but it pays you. Rewards of new clothing, image, self confidence, not to mention better health and wealth.
Today is a new day. Make your plan and stick to it. Remember a craving is just a thought. Keep busy and ignore it. Every time you win you are one step closer to freedom. Believe me, after 45 years, the freedom feels great!
