Hi all,

I'm liz and stopped smoking last Thursday cold turkey.

I have stopped smoking due to under going ivf. Ivf is costing me $30 thousand (2 attempts havent worked (i didnt smoke once the egg was transferred.i only have 4 eggs left).i have quit to give myself the best possible chance to get pregnant.

When i smoke i would drink 2-3 glasses of wine a night. If i dont smoke i dont have the desire to drink.

I quit last year for 11 months but my partner continues to smoke and this makes it extremely hard for me to quit smoking.

How do others manage to not smoke when their partners smoke???

I'm finding it easier to quit for a baby but i struggle to quit for myself.

First of all Liz, realize that you are through the nicotine addiction for the most part and now dealing with the psychological aspect of the journey. Changing your mindset and accepting this journey in your heart is also of importance. Envision the three of you this time next year, every time the thought of a cigarette enters. That picture is what you really most desire. The habit has been broken before , and you have an amazing reason to want to take your lives in a different direction.

Reading Allan Carr's book that i have posted should also help you to find the mindset to achieve your goal and to remain smoke-free. You can do this.

That's great Liz. Reading it over again in the future can help keep your resolve and remain a happy non-smoker. You can start reading right away with the link i posted. The PDF link is within the link. Read it while you can people, the other one that I first posted is now not available. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Knowledge is Power! Mindset is Key.
