Champix

I can't stop sleeping and feeling sick on Champix. I think I have had every mild side effect listed. The drsams are horrendous but as I have regular night terrors anyway that dosent phase me. And I have Bipolar and a whole list of disorders so I am use to feeling suicidal, however the sleeping non stop is just irritating. No matter how early I sleep (I usually go to bed at 6am now anywhere from 6pm to 9pm) I am still tired. Is this normal? And if so how do you cope? As coffee is a major trigger for me so I cant drink it.
Thankyou in advance.

I have been really tired also. I am on Champix. Dreams are not an issue.
Make sure you eat with the Champix. I usually have in right in the middle of a meal, tend not to feel sick that way. Also I cut down to one a day as I am quite small and have a light weight. Still working for me. I find if I push myself the tiredness is not so bad, staying home all the time is a killer. Keep your self busy doing something you enjoy. Best of luck...

Hi I have also been taking Champix. I think if your mood gets worse u should speak to your doctor just to make sure that these tablets r the best approach for you. I was also sick on champix the second week so I reduced to 1 tablet per day and the sickness has gone. Also I take with food. I think the tiredness is just another side affect from the actual stopping smoking and hopefully it will pass in a few days. good luck

Hi Violet,
Congrats on deciding to quit. I think perhaps
a quick check in with your GP might be a
good idea for monitoring.
I'm on lozenges but I can say I'm feeling
really fatigued also. I feel like a zombie
most mornings but I'm on strong pain
killers for nerve damage in my spine. It's
why I can't take Champix because they
interact.
As you would know, a good sleep routine is
so important so that's why I'm saying it
might be worthwhile checking in.
Good luck and please keep us posted.

Started Champix 27th April 2017 .(5th day)..stopped smoking, feeling sick most days but I solider on...I'm a nurse so I have support at work but at home my partner smokes and the smell just gets to me....I work night shifts and most of the time I'm in bed asleep, I have changed eating habits to help with the no smoking I don't drink coffee first thing in the morning I eat breakfast which I never did before and I drink a lot of water, when I hop into my car I grab a mint instead of a smoke.....changing habits helps...good luck to all on the stop smoking journey :) :)

I have started having my tablet in the afternoon rather then in the morning. Thanx guys :)
