Ok so tomorrow is D-Day, I'm nervous, excited, nervous, nervous... Yeah you get where I'm at. I'm on Champix and have done this rodeo before and I have to say that I love Champix. I know it's not for everyone but for me it's marvellous. Wish I could spend my life on it. I only had 5 cigarettes today ( instead of they usual 30) because I simply didn't feel like anymore than that. It's like 'Omg, that's seriously crazy, didn't feel like anymore?? it's.. shake your head bizarre!'...I've been smoking over 20 years and have tried patches, gum, cold turkey, hypnotism and champix. Champix has worked the best for me. So goodbye old friend cigarette ( insert sad moment here) and hello my new friend---money. Oh and fresh air..

Hi. Just lot let you know, smokers do not cut down if they want to quit. They just stop. Whether you have one or 21 cigarettes, you are still a smoker. I have not heard too many stories where cutting down actually led to quitting. I know I kidded myself a few times. After I cut down as much as I was prepared to do I started up once again. It was as if I had quit and then what? just keep going. Keep smoking. If you are serious, you will abstain and look for huge amounts of positive affirmation and support on this amazing site. Life after nicotine is the best. You already know why. And in the process, give yourself a pay rise of 10% to 20% a week... Best to work out you own percentage... Look forward to seeing your posts in the next few days.

Hi Lia, I mustn't have been clear in my post. The day I didn't have many smokes was not quit day, it was the day before it. My point was even though I was in my last day of smoking the Champix was stopping the receptors in my brain from screaming constantly for nicotine. I've never cut down before, it was simply an observation that amazed me. Day 1 is today...
