First day today and I am both nervous and excited. Quitting feels really positive, but I also know there will be moments when it is hard. My plan is to drink lots of water, exercise, keep busy, practice mindfulness and positive self talk through tempting times and try and enjoym rather than dread the journey. Any other ideas?

Well done on deciding to quit, its the best thing you will ever do. Yes drink heaps of water, keep busy, try to keep your mind busy too. Keep reminding yourself why you are doing this, reward your self for the little achievement, each time you make it to a day, a week, a month remind yourself how good you have done to make it that far. Its a tuff journey but well worth it, If you really want it, you will get there. Good luck and all the best

CONGRATS, I'm not going to lie and say it's easy, it's not, but it is so worth it. Good luck :)

Yep, it's not easy but you are on the right track. After 5 weeks and 4 days,of non smoking a very close friend asked me if I was OK as I hadn't lit up whilst having lunch together. It felt so good to say "I am a non smoker now" Her smile was amazing and I felt so good….. keep checking on how much you have saved, last week I went and bought a new overlocker, mmmm what will I buy next, maybe a long weekend away with hubby??
