After quitting Champix...help

I was a 30 year pack a day smoker and I quit using Champix and found it really helped with the urge to smoke. Used it for two weeks and then stopped smoking but still using Champix for the 12 week program. Have been smoke free for 24 days now. I find that drinking a lot of water helps too. Kind of scared when the Champix is done though, I guess it is my crutch. Was anybody else scared to stop the Champix? Did the bad urges return?

Hi Bea44, I'm on day 41 and stopped taking the night tablet 7 days ago on the advice of pharmacist. Was having pretty weird dreams, insomnia, hallucinations. That all stopped now. No cravings and feeling good. In fact pharmacist did say I could probably stop Champix altogether as all of the worst withdrawel/cravings would have gone bu now. But I think I'll keep going with the morning only Champix for the 3 months.
You're doing really good bea44 on 24 days. Keep it going.

Hi Solo, Good on you and thanks for sharing. I can't wait to be where you are at. Soon. :)

Thank you for answering my questions about Champix. As well, thanks so much for all the support! I am determined not to "take another puff"! I know from previous experiences, a puff is all it takes and you are right back at it again. I, as well, can't wait to be where Solo is! Keep up the good work everybody!

also a pack a day smoker for 40+ years. Using Champix to help me stop...As a lot of others have said...I stayed on them for the first month, then because of the very vivid dreams i have gone down to one a day, am on day 39 now, and finding it not easy, but it is achievable!
