Change habits to change the habit

I made an appointment with a hypnotherapist for a month in the future, and in that month stopped smoking in my comfort and usual places such as my car, on my verandah at home, and made myself go down the back in the dark with an umbrella and torch on rainy nights to the pergola to get that nicotine into me, and in that way I was still able to get into my car and go onto the verandah to have a cup of coffee without the strain of no cigarette.

I have never seriously considered quitting before this, and planned it without telling anyone except my husband (who had given up 8 years previously), and took a month off work so I didn't have people watching me to see if I failed, wondering if I was sneaking off to have a cigarette on the sly - because that is what people do, they want you to fail. But I showed them all and I will never ever smoke another cigarette!

The most amazing thing is that I have not even had a cough since the day I stopped, and am able to even enjoy laughing without wheezing and coughing. After 45 years of being a very heavy smoker, all I can say is that if I can do it, anyone can. And, I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW EASY IT HAS BEEN!!! JUST LIKE THE OTHER STORY I READ, THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE IT IS REALLY HARD, BUT THEY ARE JUST LYING TO KEEP YOU HOOKED!

HAVE A GO!
