31 Days Smoke Free

Posted in Getting started 03 Jan 2021

Hello all 😬

I’m so glad I found this forum. I need all the positive reinforcement I can get.

Today is day 31 of me being cigarette free after quitting cold turkey. It’s not easy as I had to shake myself three or four times from driving to the store and buying a pack. I managed to stop myself though and feel great full for that as my cravings are gone.

I have a feeling it’s going to be a hard long battle, one that I have to win

After having the monkey on my back for 30 years, I’m ready to shake him off

This is my first try, and I need to win

Hi iwant2...if you serious about giving up then you WILL. Ibeen quit 4and 1/2 yrs now after 53yrs smoking. Hard but if you put your mind down to it you will succeed. The cravings all disappear after 90days. Then you are somewhat out of the woods. Good luck and Congratulation for taking the first step. Cheers

Hi friend! Congratulations for such a wonderful decision. Quitting smoking is not as hard as we think. It's very easy process, we are the one who makes big fuss about it by saying "once a smoker, always smoker", "longer you smoke, more difficult to quit" etc. You need to be in perfect mindset to make it easier. Most of the people find it very difficult cause their mindset is totally different from what is required to quit.
I recommend you to read Allen Carr's Easyway to quit smoking book, which I found very useful and so do many others on this forum. It will help to mould your mind to quit smoking.
Hope, you too will find it helpful. Good luck!

Hi . If you click on Happiness above, it will list my stories and one of the first is a tribute to Allan Carr and a link to his FREE -book. My other links disappeared so do it now and have the inside track to freedom! It really is a mindset. I found it easy to quit. Think positive! Sometimes we tend to put obstacles in our own way.!
