Day 21

Posted in Getting started 02 Feb 2020

ODAAT - Remember that "One Day at a time". I'm on Day 21; after 25 years of smoking. The difference on this quit this time, no nicotine replacement therapy. it was so much easier after Day 3. I think NRT just teases you and eventually becomes a habit. Just do it cold turkey.

Hard, yes; work it YES!

Thanks for validating my choice on cold turkey. I read things on the internet and do not know what to believe anymore.

    Smoking ribs... Sounds good..
Only 50 here, but expecting 70 later. I plan to be flying my cig-money drone. I added to my handgun collection, and now I am learning to fly FPV drones. All with money I would have been burning. At 70, learning to fly FPV is not easy :)

Thanks everyone for the comments and support. And Yes, I'm in Austin TX baby! And today I am smoking ribs (not cigs) and enjoying an 80 degree day in February. ODAAT!

    That's Great !
I agree, or possibly warm turkey, :) Cut down over a few weeks while learning to see the reality of being addicted to smoking. Unfortunately many are afraid to even try cold turkey, and doctors can't make any money off of it, so most want to give you prescriptions for NRT, or drugs. Statistically, most successful quits, meaning those who did not go back, were, cold turkey.. At 21 days, you are over the hump, and, if you don't think like a smoker, there will not be any urge for another one. Make this you successful quit :)
