My story

Posted in Staying quit 05 Dec 2019

It's been nearly 8weeks since I gave up smoking and I am doing great. My doctor is very pleased with me . And now I just look the other way when I can smell someone is smoking around me. So now I know I have stop completely and the support I get from people and I can quit . Gary

    Hey, Gsry :)
Yep, at this point, you can really KNOW you are free. If you simply stop thinking like a smoker, there is no desire for one, no need, and no want. Give yourself a big pat on the back, you deserve it :)

Isn't it a great feeling to finally be free of the poisonous tube that dictated our lives. Congratulations!

Do remember to keep visiting this forum on a very regular basis to keep your resolve and motivation. Believe us when we tell you that just one puff can set you back. While nicotine may be out of your system even after years, an old song, or smell can evoke strong memories and feelings. Keep your reasons for quitting in the first place handy for such times . Adding the unexpected benefits you find afterwards will also serve to strengthen your resolve.

Again Congratulations for your great outlook and success.
