101 days

Posted in Staying quit 15 Aug 2019

30y later and I'm officially past 100 days, let's just say that I'm pinching myself. I never honestly thought that i could ever be smoke free. Just goes to show that with the support of this group and the want to be a non smoker it is possible. Just popping in to thank everyone and hopefully give inspiration to those who are thinking or starting the nicotine battle. I know it's still early days but I'm confident but cautious that I can beat this disease. I'm still getting triggers way less frequently now which can be annoying but i push past as you do knowing that time of my life has past. Excited for bigger and better days.

I am excited for you as well Samp. We all hesitate to take this journey for fear of failure, but that need not be the case if you read and start to believe that you can kick the habit. As far as this forum, well it is superior to others that i have visited and I got my belief from one before finding this site. Positive thinking, being prepared and putting forth your best effort are also essential.

Congratulations on over 100 smoke free days Samp. Thank you for letting us know and for coming out of the shadows. Lately there has been an influx of new supporters and I for one am thrilled that you are taking part. We work as a community to help one another in all stages of the journey, and it is always nice to share our feelings, thoughts and advice. Helping someone else will raise your dopamine. Cheers!
