I tend to be an emotional smoker & when I'm under a lot of stress I run to the cigarettes. My first step must be to get past each craving as it happens. I'm not strong enough to cope with more than that at the moment. I'm going to counselling & we do meditation where I go to my "happy place". (which is a beautiful river I visited in north qld.) I'm also going to go for a walk on the beach wheneve...
I only lasted 1day. On the second day I felt suicidal & rang my son. He has come to stay for a couple of days. Making another attempt today.
I have tried many times to stop smoking but have not been successful. This is my first day (again). Im feeling aggitated. I feel very hopeful that this program will help me by being able to keep a track of my progress. It is also great to be in contact with people who are travelling the same road.
